The Opulent City and the Sylvan State:  Art and Environmental Embodiment in Early National Philadelphia

Laura Igoe studies at the Tyler School of Art of Temple University. She received a 2012-2013 Dissertation Research Fellowship for her research on how artists and architects visualized, comprehended, and reformed Philadelphia’s rapidly changing urban ecology during the early national period.
