BSHS Travel Guide Seeks History of Science Articles about Philadelphia

Posted by Paul Halpern on 01/14 at 07:22 PM

The British Society for History of Science (BSHS) has issued a call for articles about history of science attractions in Philadelphia to be included in its excellent travel guide:
Call for Articles for the BSHS Travel Guide

I’ve contributed three pieces, which will be posted in coming weeks.  They are based on research I did for an article about physics attractions in Philadelphia:
The Physical Tourist:  Philadelphia: Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Physics

The impetus for posting information about history of science attractions is the upcoming Three Societies Meeting in July.  The meeting should be exciting, attracting British, Canadian and other international historians, along with researchers from around the country.  It is a wonderful opportunity for Philadelphia to display its extraordinary resources in the history of science and technology.
