HoS Micropost: Harry Potter and Renaissance Magic

Posted by Darin Hayton on 01/06 at 02:40 PM

Playing on the popularity of the Harry Potter series, the The National Library of Medicine has put together a nice exhibition on Renaissance science, magic, and medicine.1 There are two traveling exhibitions, neither of which is coming to Philadelphia, and an on-line version: “Harry Potter’s World: Renaissance Science, Magic, and Medicine.” Along with the exhibition itself, there are some nice educational resources.

Notes—
1Despite the fact that my students tell me every year that I need to read this Harry Potter series, I have to confess that I simply haven’t made the time to do so.
