Print containing a large central panoramic view of the Bedford County seat surrounded by fourteen small titled vignettes of prominent sites within and near the town. Vignettes depict: the resort lodgings of Bedford Springs Hotel; the Pennsylvania Railroad Depot and Superintendent's residence; the hotel Chalybeate House; the court house and the Lutheran Evangelical Church; the Arandale Hotel; the Methodist Episcopal Church; the storefront of Metzger Carpets and Hardware; a residence built by architect W.L. Horn; the residences of lawyers J.H. Longenecker, W. Snell, and J.B. Cessna; the Presbyterian Church designed by Solomon Filler; the building housing bankers Jartley & Bowers as well as jeweler J.W. Ridenour; and the Episcopal Church designed by O.R. Hickok. Central view includes a locomotive pulling freight and passenger cars on railroad tracks in the foreground. Bedford was founded as a trading post in 1751 by Robert Ray.
