Philadelphia, 1896.
Later copy of an Evans watercolor created for Philadelphia antiquarian Ferdiand Dreer circa 1880 probably based on a Birch view of the Bank of Pennsylvania.

Benjamin Henry Latrobe constructed the Bank of Pennsylvania from 1798-1801. It was demolished a half a century later in 1867, after being used as a prison during the Civil War. Also includes pedestrians and a horse drawn carriage.
