Tentatively attributed to Eben W. Judd in: Bates, A.C. "Check list of Connecticut almanacs, 1709-1850." Proceedings of the American Antiquarian Society n.s. v. 24 (1914): 147-148. The eclipse notes and calendar pages, however, bear no similarity to those of the almanac issued under Judd's name for the same year, An astronomical diary or almanac, for 1786 (Litchfield: Collier and Copp).
Advertised in the New-Haven gazette, Nov. 10, 1785.
"The map which is found in some copies is an overrun from Morse's Geography, Evans 18615."--Shipton & Mooney. The map was engraved by Amos Doolittle.
