The Curious monument. : Sacred to the Memory of Henry Harris Born June 27th 1831 of Henry Harris & Jane his Wife. Died on the 4th of May 1837 by the kick of a Colt in his Bowels peaceble and quiet, a Friend to his Father & Mother & respected by all who know him and went to the world where horses cant kick where sorrows & Weeping is no more Taylor & Shuck This is to certify that the above lithograph impression is a faithful copy of a drawing made by an eminent civil engineer of the late monument erected at Williamsport, Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, also that the inscription which follows, is in orthography, language arrangement of lines, capitals, punctuation &c, a literal copy of the original. It is proper to add that Messrs Taylor & Schuck the marble workers, followed the order as given them minutely and performed the task assigned to them in a masterly manner. No collection of modern American curiosities can be considered complete without the addition of this copy-right historical picture.
